If you have watched Sci-Fi movies, you must have wondered why aliens know English perfectly. Baring some movies, English is always a universal language. Most of these movies misses one of the important aspects of any civilization is Money and I have some questions.
Why there is no centralized currency in Star Wars empire?
Ok, searching Star Wars currency led to this awesome quote "The most dangerous weapon in the galaxy is money, Captain."
And, major currency in Star Wars universe being Republic credit (Imperial credit) and wupiupi. (I have watched only Star Wars movies, not nerd enough to know this info.)
Who funds those inter galactic missions? Are they funded by negative interest rates? Are there not activist groups on their planet who opposes such costly missions? What's the point of coming to the earth when there are millions of resource rich planets or asteroids which they can use for mineral extraction or monetary purpose. Or they just attack here for entertainment purpose? (sadist!) I think they must be doing live telecast of destructions as reality TV show. Why they always attack on US? Do they fear USD will take control of their economy in future? Who on earth gives funding to those secret organizations fighting aliens (MIB, Avengers, Agents of shield)?
These are just questions popped up in my head, maybe I will write another posts on what I find from Google searches just like that Star Wars currency.
