You have just opened the Demat account, you have started reading business news and tracking stock market. In initial days, it will feel like bombardment of information. Changing stock prices every second feels so random. You start trading single stock just like dipping single feet in water, only to see red mark in MTM. There might be profitable trades here or there but in the end you think it's impossible to make money this way.
Then you meet some confident and generous people on Whatsapp, Telegram or Twitter who seems much smarter and knowledgeable than you. In addition, they are humble enough to share their trades with you. They are constantly right in their predictions and even with minor loss they still remain profitable at the end of the day. You see big moves in some stocks and then read posts/comments from the people claiming that they already knew such move was coming as per the chart.
Instead of devoting time in learning and studying market behavior, you think it is easier to just trade on tips. Everyone loves such side income. If tips from one person starts failing, you can always join other group or channel to get constant flow of profitable tips. Some people might even give you tips on subscription basis.
You will keep searching for tips until you have enough bad experience with tips. Afterwards, you will leave market and never come back OR you accept reality and start investing time in self learning.
