After solving the duplication issue, it was time to filter out more issues while posting news.
Recently there are many articles with live updates web-page on new websites. News website posts timeline kind of article where they keep adding breaking news of the day. So, while posting an article, the headline will be different from the headline which will get replaced after 30-45 mins. This results in a screenshot below.
The same issue was posted by Gopal as well, pointing at tweet posted by business standard.
The only way to stop this was by blocking news links with 'Live update' in the headline.
Similarly, there are few more checks added to avoid posting news articles based on headlines. Some of the words for blocking them are:
- buy or sell (to avoid any article with the stock recommendation)
- live call (same reason)
- sponsored content
- coronavirus (too many articles were about this during lock-down)
- ulip
- application form, cbse, ibps (keeps getting posted during exams)
- Hindu or Muslim
After adding these small checks, links are sane enough to post on Twitter. Still, indices updates, SgxNifty msgs, global cues, etc type of updates are remaining, will cover them in the next part.
