Here I am talking about English comedy series like friends, the big bang theory, the office, parks and recreation, etc. Basically popular TV series of past which has reached more than 5 seasons.
Most of these series revolve around group of 7-8 friends or colleagues. They are brought together in some settings like living in same apartment or working at common workplace. All characters start at season one with some nature or behaviors, but by the time final season is reached, they are completely different. In the name of the character development, they just change person behavior from one end of spectrum to another end. There will be at-least one wedding, few episodes behind preparations and someone getting cold feet. At-least one parallel story of pregnancy. There will always be few episodes made on holidays, some characters would be excited about the holidays. Some characters which are not interested in such holidays will start taking part in holiday celebration as the series progresses (again character development). There will be one or two filler episodes in every seasons where nothing happens, usually before season finale. Guest appearances of different stars as parents, old friends, dates, etc to make situational comedy.
